Characteristics

The MissVerde Premium Menstrual Disc is very soft, and has a ring around it for easy insertion and removal.

Designed for internal use, it collects menstrual flow rather than absorbing it, helping to keep the vaginal flora intact. It is placed at the base of the cervix, not in the vaginal canal as you would with a menstrual cup.

The disc does not create a seal and allows you to have intercourse during your period. It does, however, NOT function as a contraceptive and does not prevent pregnancy.

Includes menstrual disc + case

How to insert the menstrual disc:

Inserting and removing the disc comfortably may take some practice, but once it's in, you won't feel it at all.

  3. Squeeze the sides of the disc, making it the size of a tampon.Insert the disc into the vagina and use your finger to push the rim up behind your pubic bone.Make sure to push the disc past the pubic bone so that the rim folds just above the bone and covers the cervix.
  4. Once in place, you're protected. That's it! You've inserted it.

How do you remove the menstrual disc? Follow these steps to remove the disc:

  1. Wash your hands
  2. Sit on the toilet, as you don't want it anywhere but the toilet in case the contents spill out.
  3. Sit or squat on the toilet (to avoid spillage).
  4. Insert your finger into the vagina, passing the rim of the disc to engage it, and pull it straight out.
  5. If you find it difficult to reach the disc, apply pressure with your pelvic muscles.
  6. Empty the contents into the toilet, rinse or wipe, reinsert and you're done!

Cleaning instructions:

The menstrual disc should be cleaned at least every 12 hours during your period, depending on the amount of menstrual flow.

The disc should be sterilised at least once a month, before or after each period.

You can sterilise the menstrual disc with the MissVerde menstrual cup steriliser cup or the MissVerde electric steriliser.
