Cleaning instructions and material

You should clean the menstrual disc at least every 12 hours during menstruation, and it is even recommended to change it more often for those who have a heavy menstrual flow. You should also sterilise it at the end of each period (at least once a month).

The sterilising cup is very easy to use. It has two very useful functions depending on your needs.

1. Rinsing the menstrual disc in public places:

- Open the cup and fill it with a little water (be sure to wash your hands first).
- Remove the disc and pour the contents into the toilet. Place the menstrual disc in the container and close the lid.
- Shake it gently and pour the water into the toilet through the three little holes.
- Take out the disc and put it back in.

2: During travelling

-Fill the steriliser with water.
-Microwave it for 2-3 minutes to make sure your disc is clean.
-It's ready for your next period.

It's super easy to carry the steriliser in your bag.

How to insert a menstrual disc?

Inserting and removing the disc may take some practice, but once it's in place, you won't feel it at all. To insert the disc, first wash your hands and get into a comfortable position, either standing with one leg raised or sitting on the toilet. Then squeeze the sides of the disc to make it the size of a tampon and insert it into your vagina, pushing the rim up with your finger, behind your pubic bone. Make sure the disc is beyond the pubic bone so that the rim folds properly and covers the cervix. That's it! Once in place, you are protected.

How do I remove the menstrual disc?

Follow these steps to remove it: first wash your hands and sit on the toilet to avoid spills and make removal easier. Insert a finger into your vagina, hook the edge of the disc and pull it out straight. If you have difficulty, use your pelvic muscles to help dislodge the disc. Pour the contents into the toilet, rinse it out or clean it with the sterilising cup, and reinsert it. Ready to go!
